dojym is the martial arts experience for the 21st Century, within a network of branded martial arts studios, gyms and mediation spaces for the modern martial artist.  Flywheel is creating the business plan, operations plan and design brief, and working up concept designs using its design partners.

Designed for every martial artist, from the beginner to the expert, dojym brings together a wide variety of disciplines and masters to allow its members to work in various forms or focus on one form, as they desire. Classes will run throughout the day and evening, seven days a week, in addition to fitness classes to complement the martial arts.

Located in prominent high street real estate locations, dojym will contain three core environments:

• A martial arts studio space, visible from the street, where classes take place, containing a specialist demonstration zone, group practice and instruction zone, sparring zone and individual practice zone with a tutorial video wall;
• A gym space specialised with specific equipment and information to support martial artists, developing core strength, lean muscle over size, stamina, balance, agility, flexibility, and speed;
• A mediation space, calm and relaxing, based around the concept of an indoor Japanese garden allowing groups to convene after class, meet new people, meditate, play Go, relax, research and discuss martial arts.
